lisa
Lisa Fordyce, Operations Director

Lisa has been a Christian for most of her life and was raised by a Christian mother. She has a heart for nonprofit work and helping those in need. One of Lisa’s favorite verses is Hebrews 4:16, “Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

She has been married to her high school sweetheart for 30 years now! Although Lisa and Craig do not have children of their own, they have 16 nieces and nephews who are much loved. Lisa feels she is blessed with “the best friends in the world” and is grateful to God for each of them. In her (much cherished) alone time, Lisa enjoys reading, tea, puzzles, and movies.

hannah
Hannah Robles, Communications Manager

Some words that might be used to describe Hannah include: Jesus follower, tea drinker, artist, anglophile, bookworm, and stargazer. She was born and raised in Spokane, WA, and spent most of her time playing piano, riding her horse, painting, and dancing.

Hannah studied English Communications at Corban University, participated in student leadership planning events, and studied for a semester at Oxford University in the UK. Since graduating with a BS in May of 2018, Hannah was briefly a horseback riding instructor and an event coordinator, and now works in marketing and fundraising at the RSA office. Hannah spends most of her time at coffee shops, reading books, traveling, and biking, and hopes to someday have a handful of miniature horses named after hobbits.

wendy
Wendi Scheuble, Campaign & Development Project Manager

Wendi is a native of California but transplanted to Salem in grade school and has called Salem home ever since. She has walked with Jesus since her childhood and is grateful for the model of following Jesus from both her grandparents and her parents, both of whom have worked in Christian ministry throughout her life. Wendi is a graduate of Whitworth University with degrees in Political Science and Business Administration and has spent her 40-year career in Direct Sales. She felt a nudge to follow a deeper call to using her skills in God’s pursuit of those who have yet to find Jesus as their Savior in this season of her life. Flowers and sourdough bring her joy, along with her 3 adult sons and 1 precious grandson.

Kasey Smith, Operations Assistant
Kasey was born and raised in southern California until she accepted an offer to play volleyball for Corban University in Salem, OR. This is where she began to truly know and love Jesus Christ. Kasey graduated with a BS in Exercise Science in 2018. Since then, she has discovered a deeper calling to work at an organization that makes a direct impact in the Lord’s kingdom.

Outside of work, Kasey is passionate about athletics, resistance and mobility training, animals, and dessert. Her spare time is most enjoyed when spent outside with her husband and dog and includes activities such as longboarding, reading and hiking.

reid saunders
Reid Saunders, President

On a stage or at a grocery store, Reid sees opportunities all around him to share hope with those who are hurting. Reid was born and raised in Petaluma, California. He enjoyed a loving family and popularity in school, but felt a void in his life. At 17 years of age, Reid surrendered himself to the Lord, a decision that changed the trajectory of his life. As a young Christ-follower, Reid recorded many of Billy Graham’s messages, marveling at the power of God’s Word to touch hearts and change lives. Reid preached his first evangelistic message at a festival in Petaluma, CA at the age of 22. He graduated from Western Baptist College (now Corban University) in 1998, and went on to Multnomah Biblical Seminary to earn a Masters of Divinity in 2002 and Doctorate in Global Evangelism in 2022. Reid has preached the gospel to millions of people and traveled to over 100 countries. He is the author of Life to the Fullest, All for Jesus! Making Your Life Count for Christ, and Active8. Reid, his wife, Carmen, and their three children live in Salem, Oregon.

Yana McGovern
Yana McGovern, Executive Assistant to the Executive Director

Born and raised in Salem, OR, Yana attended McKay High School and Chemeketa Community College. With a heavy involvement in choir and the worship team at her home church, Yana grew a deep passion for music and worship from a very young age. This has carried over into her current involvement with Cherry City Worship, and being a worship leader at her home church. Aside from music, some of Yana’s greatest passions are watching cooking shows (especially Masterchef, and Chopped), solo dates to her favorite coffee shop, Broadway Coffeehouse, and spending time with her nieces, Eleanor and Alice. Yana adores her husband, Jimmy, and orange cat, Gary, more than anything. Even still above that, Yana loves the Lord, and cherishes her time spent with him the most.

ruth
Ruth Daniels, International Outreach Director
Ruth was born and raised in Guatemala City. She considers herself a fourth generation Christian because of the fruits of American missionaries who lived in her country in the early 1900s. These missionaries shared with Ruth’s great-grandmother that salvation could only be found in accepting that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died on the cross for our sins, and that we need to have a personal relationship with Him. Ruth’s great-grandmother accepted Christ as her Lord and savior, and subsequently, Ruth’s grandmother and mother did as well. At the age of seven, Ruth accepted Christ in her heart. Because of her family’s testimony, Ruth believes in mission work and enjoys taking people on mission trips. Ruth came to the U.S. when she married her husband Pat who is from Kansas City. Ruth enjoys going to the Oregon coast with her family, and loves serving the Lord alongside the RSA staff.
kirk
Kirk Purdy, Outreach & Training Coordinator
Kirk assists with church relations and logistics in festival cities around the world. Additionally, he’s building a curriculum for RSA to train future evangelists.

He became interested in evangelism during his years at Wheaton College and later attended Regent College in Vancouver, BC for theological training. He spent a decade working for the Luis Palau Association as a festival director.

Kirk is married to Keren, a former purser for Emirates airlines. He and Keren met on the worship team at Redeemer Church of Dubai. They enjoy spending time hiking, choir singing, Sci-Fi movies, and adventuring with their adorably precocious daughter, Summer.

kellan
Kellan Sawyer, Prayer Coordinator

Kellan has known God and loved Him all her life. She grew up talking to Him and He continually answered her – aka prayer. She was introduced to RSA and started praying for RSA during Salem RiverFest in 2007. One prayer meeting led to another and God opened a door for her to be hired as the staff accountant, with the added benefit of leading staff in prayer. This prayer ministry grew to creating prayer teams for outreaches and eventually weekly scheduled prayer times. She is no longer the staff accountant but now exclusively focuses her time on prayer for the organization. She views the prayer team as the “airforce” for the “ground troops” that go to the mission field.

Outside of RSA she is a wife, mother of three, grandmother of four, and lover of God. She loves God because He loves her and will never leave her, no matter what she does, says, or thinks. One of her favorite verses is Jesus telling her, “I have come so that you may have life, and have it to the full.” She believes Him and lives as fully as possible, which includes but is not limited to: engaging conversations with God, pickleball, grandkids, travel, going down rabbit holes in the enchanted forest, eating dessert for breakfast or having her dessert first when she goes out to eat, or any other adventure she can find.

She hopes to one day go back to school but meanwhile is happy to be a part of an organization that works faithfully to further the Gospel.

Kelsey Brogoitti, Executive Assistant to Dr. Reid Saunders

Kelsey was born and raised in Salem Oregon. Her first experience with international missions work was at the age of 12 on a trip to Guatemala with her family and church through Reid Saunders Association. This trip was foundational for her relationship with Jesus Christ and instilled a love for sharing Jesus around the world. After graduating from Biola University in 2023 with a BS in Kinesiology, Kelsey got married to her high school sweetheart and worked as the academic advisor and office manager for the online undergraduate program at Corban University. She loves all things Jesus, travel, line dancing, and reading.

She and her husband enjoy going to Seahawks games and local live sports! In her free time she enjoys reading, a new hobby of quilting, and tutoring students in math!

Cassie was born and raised in California. After graduating from the University of California, Riverside, with a Bachelor’s in English Literature and a Master’s in Education, she spent a few years teaching English in the inner city schools of Southern California. With a heart for people and an itch to travel the world, she “took a year off” to join an international Christian organization, where she spent the next ten years working all over the world for the sake of the Gospel and landing in Salem, Oregon as her home base. Since going on a Mexico missions trip at the age of 12, Cassie has felt a call to see the kingdom of God move in the most unreached parts of the world. Outside of work, you can find Cassie enjoying the beauty around her. She loves to pass her days on long hikes through Oregon’s wilderness, puttering in her garden, and enjoying whatever creative activity tickles her fancy.

Joshua Butterfield, Facilities Manager

Joshua was born and raised in Northern California and accepted Jesus at a young age. His journey has been one of surrender—laying down his own plans to follow God’s better ones. He earned his degree in Construction Management from California State University, Chico, and spent 18 years leading projects and teams in the construction industry. Looking back, Joshua clearly sees how God was preparing him for a life of ministry all along.

During his college years, Joshua served at Christian camp as the campus groundskeeper over summers and weekends, laying the foundation for his passion to serve and lead in ministry settings. He also had the privilege of sharing Jesus on missions trips and group settings, which deepened his heart for the Gospel and cross-cultural ministry.

Joshua considers it a true honor to serve as RSA’s Facilities Manager, using his skills to help advance the Gospel around the world. He and his wife Darla are raising four amazing kids and following Jesus together as a family. In his spare time, Joshua enjoys anything outdoors (especially fishing) and staying active in men’s ministry events that encourage others to know and follow Jesus more deeply.

A lifelong Oregonian and a Christian since 1971, Rich has dedicated over forty years to pastoral and evangelistic ministry. He graduated from Multnomah School of the Bible in 1983, and is an ordained minister of The Foursquare Church. Rich and his wife Sandy planted and pastored two churches, in Idaho and Oregon, and both continue in vibrant operation. He served with Luis Palau as a North American Crusade Director, 1990 – 1994, with citywide campaigns in Richland, Washington; Peoria, Illinois; and Fort Worth, Texas. Relocating to Salem in 2010, Rich served as a pastor at West Salem Foursquare Church until his retirement in 2022. An admirer of Reid and Carmen Saunders, retired Rich accepted the invitation to join the RSA team part-time in September 2025. Rich will work on expanding RSA’s training program by developing relationships and creating evangelism materials for pastors, churches, students, and area-wide outreach events.

Rich and Sandy have two sons and two daughters who are all married, along with twelve grandchildren. Gardening, grandkids, a little golf, a little fishing, and a cabin at the coast keep the Marshall’s calendar very full. Rich has authored one book, “Gardens of the Savior” in 2023.
