Over the past 22 years, RSA has shared the Gospel with over 4.7 million people in 97 countries, introducing 818,922 to Jesus. Your faithful support has been vital in reaching these unreached regions through festivals, medical clinics, and church partnerships! While we celebrate every place God leads us to share the Good News, Vietnam holds a special place in our hearts. In a region known for Buddhism and Communism, God has opened doors and given RSA opportunities to share the Gospel in remarkable ways over the past six years, resulting in thousands saying “yes” to Jesus. We’ve been invited back to Vietnam this Christmas season for another round of outreach celebrations!
The local pastors were so blessed by last year’s events that they asked us to return to Hanoi and Ca Mau, and we knew we had to say “yes!” The doors are open, and we feel an urgency to step through. This year, we’re partnering with over 200 churches, including leaders who were once hesitant but are now fully committed. Last year, over 14,000 people attended, and we’re trusting God for even more this year, praying it will be Vietnam’s biggest Christmas celebration yet! We will host two key events in Hanoi: a Women’s Outreach Dinner, building on last year’s successful gathering, and our first-ever Government Officials Lunch to both thank dignitaries and share the Gospel. These events will culminate in a vibrant outdoor Christmas festival featuring a massive market with 70+ vendors, a fun children’s area, a high-energy BMX demonstration, and inspiring performances by Christian musicians. At the heart of it all, we will share the Gospel and celebrate the birth of Jesus!
It doesn’t stop with Christmas! We have also received an invitation and agreed to return in February 2025 to host a festival in Ho Chi Minh, the most populous city in the country!
As we prepare for these special outreaches, I have a unique opportunity to share with you: a generous donor has pledged to match every gift made toward this outreach, dollar for dollar – up to $45,000 by October 31, 2024. This pledge presents an exciting challenge, as it is an “all or nothing” match opportunity – the $45,000 needs to be raised by the deadline, or the match is forfeited. There are many expenses for outreaches of this scale. The budget is large, and we need $90,000 to be fully funded for both the December and February festivals. Time and time again, we have seen Jesus multiply what is given beyond our hopes and prayers.
