We praise God for an amazing week in Indonesia!! It was a full week, and God moved in incredible ways. What a privilege to partner with Brotherhood Ministries (BMX) and HisPop Music to bring the joy of Christ to this special country through medical clinics, youth events, women’s gatherings, and an outdoor festival. Throughout the trip, we witnessed God’s favor at every step, from receiving approvals just in time for events, to the miraculous change in weather conditions for the weekend festival.
One of the outreach events we held in partnership with local churches was a special gathering for women that drew more than 400 attendees. Our longtime friend and team member, Norma Caddell, shared her personal testimony with those gathered. As she spoke about God’s work in her life, many women were deeply moved by her story and responded to the Gospel, placing their faith in Christ. It was a powerful reminder of how God uses personal testimony to reveal his love and draw people to himself.
Our local partners shared how extraordinary the events were for their culture. From the first day to the last, we saw lives touched and hearts opened to the Gospel. It was a powerful reminder that God is drawing people everywhere to himself.
One 17-year-old young man attended the festival and gave his life to Christ. After the event, he sought out Reid to share the exciting news of his decision. Reid was thrilled to learn that they shared the same age when they first came to faith. He, too, was 17 when he accepted Christ. Reid prayed a blessing over the young man and encouraged him that God had a powerful purpose for his life to reach his generation with the Gospel. God is continuing to call young people to himself and raise up a new generation of believers!
A women named Debora served alongside our team as a translator throughout the outreach. A sweet moment on the outreach came during the festival when her four-year-old daughter listened to Reid sharing the Gospel. When the invitation was given to respond, she eagerly raised her hand, expressing her desire to trust Jesus and put her life in him. Debora and her husband joyfully shared later, “We are blessed by the Gospel shared by Reid!” It was a beautiful reminder that the message of Christ reaches hearts of every age and that God is at work across generations.
