In one of the most secular nations in the world, where shame and hopelessness weigh heavily, we’re witnessing a powerful move of God. “This kind of thing never happens in Japan!” locals repeatedly told us. From the crowds to the individual, the Gospel is breaking through in remarkable ways. We saw an enthusiastic response that is rare in Japanese culture, and it’s a clear sign that God is doing something new.
Your prayers and support are helping bring hope, healing, and transformation to a nation that desperately needs it. We’re seeing the fruit of years of faithful investment, and doors continue to open for outreach in Japan.

Sunday, October 12
We wrapped up our time with a special event at our host church, Jesus Family. Our friend Pastor Nozomi introduced Reid, who shared a heartfelt message and presented the Gospel. It was a beautiful way to close out our time in Japan, and we’re so grateful for all the hearts and lives touched throughout this outreach.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us with prayer and encouragement. We can’t wait to see what God continues to do in this nation!

This afternoon’s Youth Joyfest was full of energy, excitement, and joy! Reid shared a powerful Gospel message, and we celebrate with those who made the life-changing decision to follow Christ. What a beautiful day of outreach and transformation!
Friday, October 10
For years, we’ve been praying about sharing the Gospel here, and by God’s grace, it’s finally happening!
Over 300 people attended our Gospel concert in Tokyo and many made decisions to follow Christ! Praise God! The local pastors were so encouraged by the response. They already invited us back next year, and want to book a larger venue, believing that attendance will double.
Thursday, October 9
Our team hit the ground running with a full schedule. We wanted to share a snapshot of what’s been happening since we arrived:
📍Women’s Event in Kawasaki: We hosted a women’s event where our teammate, Laura Vogt, shared her testimony and Reid had the privilege of presenting the Gospel.
📍Gathering in Yokohama: We held a special outreach event where we connected with local friends. While walking through a neighborhood in the city with our hosts, we met Saiyo, a 6th-grade girl who greeted us in English. Reid shared the Hand of Hope with her, and she gave her life to Jesus right then and there!
Wednesday, October 8
After years of prayer and preparation, our team is currently en route to Japan, a region where less than 2% of the population knows Jesus!
We’ve been invited by the local church to share the Gospel with thousands who have yet to hear the Good News. One of our key outreach efforts will be a citywide festival in Yokohama, designed to draw families and individuals from across the region.
We believe God is involved in the details. He knows each person by name and wants each one to hear of his love for them. Will you please keep our team and this special outreach on your calendar and in your prayers?
