Saturday, November 8

We’re thrilled to share the incredible impact of Festival para la Familia in Melo, Uruguay. More than 4,000 people came together for a night filled with energy, community, and hope. The BMX team wowed the crowd with their amazing performance, and the live music brought everyone to their feet.

Most importantly, the evening concluded with a powerful Gospel message. We celebrate that 841 people made decisions to follow Christ! Thank you for your prayers and support that make moments like this possible. God is moving in Uruguay, and we’re so grateful to be part of what he’s doing.

Thursday, November 6

Today, Reid and the team joined a couple of pastors in traveling to a town bordering Brazil. While there, they crossed the border and met with the mayor of the city — an encounter that turned into something truly life-changing.

During our visit, Reid shared the Gospel, and the mayor gave his life to Jesus! Before we left, he invited us to go through every office in his city hall to pray for the workers. What an open door and a powerful testimony of God’s work!

Reid shared that throughout his travels around the world, he has seen many city officials come to Christ, but this is the first mayor he has personally seen make that decision. Praise God for how He continues to move in unexpected and amazing ways!

Thursday evening, Reid was invited to preach at a local church. During the service, a young man came forward and asked for prayer.

What we didn’t realize at the time was how many ways God had already been at work in his life. The day before, Danny (from our BMX team) had met this same young man on the streets and shared hope and encouragement with him. None of us knew that the mother of his best friend had also invited him to come to church that night to hear “the foreign preacher.”

That evening, as Reid shared the message, we learned more of his story. His father had recently taken his own life, and just a week earlier, this young man had attempted to do the same. But on Thursday night, everything changed when he gave his life to Christ!

God’s timing is perfect. What seemed like a series of random encounters was actually a divine appointment. Please continue to pray for this young man as he begins his new walk with Jesus.

Wednesday, November 5

This evening we held a women’s event which was a huge success! We were expecting around 100 attendees, but nearly 159 women came! The venue was absolutely bursting with energy, joy, and fellowship. Many who came gave their lives to Christ. We are so thankful for what God is doing and for every person who is being reached through these moments.

Reid has been invited to appear on several secular TV and radio stations here! This is an amazing opportunity for him to share why we are here and to boldly proclaim the Gospel to an even wider audience.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support as we see doors opening and hearts being touched!

Tuesday, November 4

Over the past few days, our team has been busy sharing the love of Jesus throughout the city of Melo, Uruguay. From street evangelism and festival invitations to visits in prisons and nursing homes, God is opening doors and changing hearts in incredible ways.

Today, we had the joy of visiting a local nursing home where nine residents said “yes” to Jesus! As we continue visiting more nursing homes during our time here, our local church partners are stepping in to build lasting relationships and disciple these new believers who may not be able to attend church in person.

We also ministered to a local prison where 89 inmates, both men and women, heard the Gospel, and 32 inmates gave their lives to Jesus! A local pastor who leads a prison ministry will continue to follow up with and disciple these new believers, ensuring they are encouraged and grounded in their faith.

The local church is so encouraged by what God is doing. They shared that breakthroughs like this are rare in Uruguay, and they are praising God for this incredible move of his Spirit.

In the evening, our BMX team practiced at the skate park where the upcoming festival will take place. We also spent time in prayer over the grounds, preparing both physically and spiritually for what’s to come.

Please continue to pray for the people of Melo, for the upcoming festival this weekend, and for our local partners as they walk alongside these new believers in their faith journeys.

God is at work in Uruguay, and we are humbled and grateful to be part of it!

Sunday, November 2

Our partners in Uruguay have enjoyed two amazing days of training with Jeff Valdes, learning how to study the Bible for personal growth and discipleship. The sessions were filled with insight, encouragement, and practical tools for growing in God’s Word.

Jeff shared a powerful message at a local church, inspiring the congregation to deepen their walk with Christ. It’s been a wonderful time of ministry, and the team is excited to see how God continues to move in Uruguay!

Today also brought an incredible moment of divine connection. While the team was walking through a local park, they met seven students who were taking a break from their school. Reid took the opportunity to share the Hand of Hope with them, and in a beautiful display of God’s grace, all seven chose to give their lives to Jesus! The team joyfully invited the students to the upcoming festival on Saturday and is excited to see how God continues to work in their hearts and lives.

Saturday, November 1

We have a full schedule ahead and are so excited to minister in the community. Through our partnership with local churches, we’ll be visiting nursing homes, prisons, and first responders, as well as sharing the love of Jesus on the streets. I can’t wait to see what doors the Lord will open!

Uruguay is known as the most secular country in Latin America, with almost 30% of its population identifying as atheist or agnostic. We believe God is going to move in powerful ways, and that many people will experience His love and forgiveness for the very first time. Please join us in praying that hearts will be open and that many will say “yes” to Jesus for eternity!

Below are specific points of prayer:

  • For good weather.
  • Safe travels, health and safety for team members, specifically the BMX team.
  • That we encounter many divine appointments while we distribute flyers in public places. (Flyers will be handed out for the upcoming festivals)
  • For the Lord to bless and save the people that we will be visiting at four nursing homes.
  • That many inmates give their lives to Jesus at the prisons we will visit.
  • For many women to come to Jesus at the women’s event.
  • For the authorities and first responders who will be hearing the message of salvation.
  • For the March for Jesus on Saturday before the festival, that this would be a time for Jesus to show the city of Melo that Jesus lives and his church is alive and vibrant.
  • For myself and all the speakers.
  • That many will come and hear the Gospel of Jesus at the festival.
  • For the celebration with the churches to be sweet and encouraging.
